Charles Darwin made them famous more than 100 years ago with his book, “On the Origin of Species” where he acknowledged the importance of the islands in convincing him of the fact of evolution. Since then, Galapagos has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in the world.

The Islands are a living museum where people are able to see some of the most exotic species on earth and witness the evolutionary changes that have changed man’s perspective of life on earth. The Galapagos Islands have been recognized as a Man and Biosphere Reserve, and as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, they have also been nominated to become one of the 7 Wonders of the World.
